I wanted to review my purchase again after the processing was completed. Overall the process is easy to buy a vehicle however, dealing with a traditional dealership, Ford, Chevy, ect, is easier in the process of getting the deal paperwork completed. I'm not a big fan of the online contract signing or having to change my insured vehicle to schedule the delivery or pickup. I know some people don't enjoy the dealership because of the negotiation process and at times pressure to make your mind up right now. Carvana doesn't have that problem. The F&I office at the dealership make that option better because they understand the tax law and title registration process in there state. In my opinion all the negative media about Carvana losing there dealer license in Illinois. That's all F&I office responsibility. I don't know how Carvana didn't catch that they sold a stolen
car. I'm not upset with the process and everything went smooth except I had to wait several days to get my vehicle delivered. Then I get an email saying we have to reschedule your delivery. It was 6 days later. I thought hell I'll just drive to Louisville and pick it up. I called and spoke with customer service and they scheduled my pick up appointment. The advocate assured me that the vehicle would be ready. I thought cool. Day before I get a message that my pick up was rescheduled because the vehicle would not make it to the pickup location by that time. The advocate that scheduled my pick up didn't have a clue where the vehicle was. I call back and get an advocate that actually could figure out where the car I agreed to purchase was actually at. I figured that if the advocate knew how to figure out where the vehicle was probably knew everything I needed to know. I asked questions he answered honest. I wasn't happy about the answers and thought about canceling the deal all together. I calmed down and thought about the deal and knew I could not get that deal at a dealership. Bought a car 6 thousand under NADA book value. I found a car agreed to buy it and received it, after several delivery and pickup delays. I live in Kentucky and registration is simple in a way. I was told by Carvana I live in a self registration state so I have to go get my tag. Which is not a problem. I signed limited power of attorney paperwork which means Carvana could have registered the vehicle for me however, my paperwork was completed in Arizona. The paperwork was overnight delivered by FedEx. I took the completed paperwork to the DMV and got the vehicle registration process completed. Overall it was a good experience but it could have been better if appointments were kept. I recommend Carvana to anyone who doesn't want to go to the dealership and trade. Don't expect it to be quick right now. If you want a traditional car buying experience don't waist your time with Carvana. If you live in a state other than Arizona, know your state's title, registration, and tax laws. If something doesn't feel right stop the process and figure out where the deal is questionable.
