NOTEWORTHY FEATURES

Acceleration on the Model X Performance

One of the most stand-out aspects of the Tesla Model X is its acceleration. On the Model X Performance model, drivers can go from 0 to 60 mph in a snappy 4.4 seconds. Those who want to go even faster can flip it into Ludicrous mode and make it there in a mere 2.7 seconds. The only trade-off is a drop in electric range, but for those who want the ultimate in power, the trade is pretty fair.

Three Comfortable Seating Configurations

The Model X comes standard as a five-seater, but it can be made into a third-row SUV. Drivers can get two captain's chairs for the second row and a bench seat for the third row to seat six or bench seats for both the second and third row to seat seven. AutoPilot and Full Self-Driving Capability Features

The driver is expected to remain attentive to the road while these systems are engaged and be ready to take over the wheel as needed. AutoPilot comes with Traffic Aware Cruise Control and Autosteer. while Full Self-Driving Capability has Auto Lane Change, Auto Park, Summon, Smart Summon, and Traffic and Stop Sign Control.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

The Upward Swinging Doors

The 'falcon' upward swinging rear doors might look cool but limit the vehicle's practicality and is difficult to open. Getting in and out is easy enough in front due to the tall ride height and wide door openings. However, in the back, the doors get in the way in tight parking spots and while trying to park inside a garage.

Upgraded Wheels and Range

The optional 22-inch wheels can have a major aesthetic impact. However, the larger wheels can reduce your range by 10% to 15%, which equals about 40 miles. With the significant cost increase, the upgrade may be worth it.

The Panoramic Windshield Lets in Extra Heat

The panoramic windshield gives the driver an expansive outward view, but it can have a significant impact on comfort on sunny days. The windshield lets in a lot of light, which means that it can magnify the heat. Those in the front seats will be impacted the most, and climate control will need to be cranked up in order to cool down.
