The part of buying a car was frustrating. You have to be ready to push the button to buy or you will loose the car. You need to know what you want and be ready. I lost many cars because someone pushed the "buy" button before me. There are some things they don't tell you and you need to jump through hoops beforehand. You'll need to get insurance on the vehicle before they will sell you the car...like 10 days before you will even get the car. They give you 24 hours to do this. My insurance company isn't open on Saturdays or Sundays so I hade to call for an extension which they did but it's just a pain. I was paying cash. Well, you have to get a certified check and upload both sides of it or give them a link to your bank account (Don't like doing that) so they can verify you have the funds. That's was a hassle. Then morning of delivery you have to get some things notarized. They do it via a Skype kind of thing but still...why not do is several days ahead? A lot of this stuff wasn't explained and was on the fly. Like calling me at 6:00 pm Friday after banks are closed and telling me I have 24 hours to get this stuff. The process is clunky to say the least. I got an email that they hadn't received my D.L. today. I had to upload the front and the back of my D.L. in order to make the purchase 10 days ago. So why was I contacted that they didn't get my D.L.? When they require it to purchase my car....now that I've got my car why am I being contacted to upload my D.L. What happened to my D.L? I've got a temporary plate on my car that expires 8-15. They send me a notification that due to Covid (right) that my registration might take longer. I contact them asking about my plate that expires in 3 weeks and how I get another one should the process take longer and I'm told they can't do that. WHAT??? I can't NOT drive my car. So I don't feel so good about that process. So who knows what I'll have to do if it comes down to my temp plate expiring. That saga is for another day I guess. I'm writing all of this because there are things that pop up that aren't explained until the process is well underway and so the buyer is informed. Also, be aware that if the car is shown with tinted windows, they will remove the tint should your state require inspection. My purchase was done this way. It showed up with the tint "somewhat" removed. There was still evidence of pealed off tint on my windows but they left the tint on the small opera windows in the back and front so even the tint wasn't removed completely. It was almost a deal breaker for me. Again, they don't explain that stuff and that should be credited towards the sale of the car. Now I need to either remove the left over tint on the opera windows or get the windows "re-tinted". So just so buyers are informed.

I went looking for a car when mine died, so the clock was ticking. I found a couple locally, but for one reason or another, they just wouldn't work. Carvana had a lot more inventory to choose from in one place. That made it easier to pick one that would better meet my needs. Not shopping in person made it impossible to negotiate the price, though, and I feel like if I could have found the same car and miles locally, I could have gotten it for a better price.
