In the current unique climate around used car buying/selling post-pandemic, a mechanic friend of mine advised me to skip sailing seas of private sellers and go with a Carmax or Carvana. While the whole idea of having a car delivered to your door with no test drive seemed crazy to me at first, I found Carvana's site to be more user-friendly vs Carmax, the selection was better, and they have really boiled down the process to a science. There were a few hiccups in the delivery process (no fault of Carvana's - just transpo/freight issues that plague us all currently), but when the car arrived, Stefan (the knowledgeable and polite delivery guy) was super-patient when I had an insurance wrinkle. He stuck around for the better part of an hour while I worked it all out. Since Carvana gives you a generous 7-day window to return the vehicle - no questions asked - I took it in to my local shop the day after delivery for inspection. After putting it on a lift, the guys at the shop said: "it's rare we see a used vehicle in such pristine condition. No error codes -- green across the board." I could not be happier with my 2019 Honda CR-V: she is a real beaut and drives like a dream. Thanks, Carvana! Very satisfied customer here.
