The process of purchasing the car online was easy and flawless and I have no complaints about that. My complaints have to deal with the delivery process as well as a few other aspects. One issue I just didn't understand was the fact that I had to pull insurance on the car and have it effective a full week before I got the car. I do not understand why the effective insurance date could not be the day the car was dropped off as this cost an extra couple hundred dollars. The next issue is that there was some interior damage on the car that was never disclosed to me. While it wasn't terrible it was definitely noticeable and I was disappointed I was not informed of this. The last major issue was disappointed me was the fact that the car came with no license plates and I was not able to drive the car upon delivery. I was told several times by several different Carvana employees that when the car was delivered it would come with temporary plates so I could use the car for the 7 day trial period and the real plates come. I received a phone call an hour before the car was being dropped of and told the car would not be coming with plates and they didn't know when the plates would be arriving. He also informed me that the dealer plates he had were being used by someone else. While this may not seem the biggest of deals I was annoying as I took off from work to be there with the intentions of being able to use my newly purchased car. Now I had a car that I could not use, could not test drive, and was still paying insurance on. I wish i was notified ahead of time and explained this process correctly and I would have been ok with this but that fact that 4 or 5 employees told me incorrect information about the process was mindboggling that almost no one knew the correct process besides the one guy delivering my car (who despite my frustration was great by the way he went above and beyond to get me my plates the next day). I think you guys really need some sort of training on the correct process at least for the process in New York. Like I said besides this issue you guys were great and the process was easy including the financing which got me a much better rate then I thought. But these few issues left a sour taste in my mouth. While I would use your service again because now I know how it actually works I hope these things can be improved so that this does not happen to anyone else.
