Overview2015 TOYOTA AVALON
The Toyota Avalon has many loyal fans because of its roomy interior and comfortable ride. The Avalon is considered to be a more luxurious, upscale sedan with distinguished features and amenities. It is an excellent larger car for the daily commute or family trip. Toyota added a few amenities to this model and made several other features standard. If you're looking for a sedan that's not too large, the 2015 Toyota Avalon might be just the car for you.
Powertrain OptionsThe 2015 Avalon is available as a conventional gasoline engine or a hybrid. The 3.5-liter V6 version delivers 268 horsepower and is paired with a smooth six-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid version comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and has a fuel economy of 40 mpg city and 39 mpg highway. You can choose between more power and a bit more acceleration or fuel-efficiency, depending on your driving needs.
Roomy Interior and Luxury FeelThe Avalon is a small car, but it has a roomy and well-designed interior that makes it feel much larger. It was designed for passenger comfort with refined well-padded white leather seats available. You can choose from heated front and rear seats, power rear sunshade, and dual-zone climate control. It also comes with a touch-screen CD stereo, MP3 jack, USB port, and Bluetooth streaming capabilities.
New for 2015In 2015, Toyota added paddle shifters and several different driving modes. In this model, you can choose how you want the car to handle. It comes with three different modes as standard: Normal, Sport, and Eco.
Does Not Have Split SeatsMany cars similar to the Toyota Avalon have the option of split-folding rear seats. This can make it convenient when you need to haul longer objects or cargo. The Avalon does not come with this option as cargo capacity was not their primary design concern. It was built for the commuter or long trip but not for serious hauling.
Advanced Safety Features Only Available as OptionsMany advanced safety features, such as adaptive cruise control, a pre-collision braking system, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert are available on the Toyota Avalon. However, these features are only available on certain trim packages and at a premium price. These features would later become standard on many trims.
Slow and SteadySome drivers consider this car to be a bit on the sluggish side when it comes to acceleration. It was not originally designed as a sports car. Even though it has a powerful engine, it was not geared to high-performance and a fast-paced world. It is a family sedan that emphasizes gas efficiency and practicality above its sport capabilities.
