I finally found the one car I was looking for on Carvana. I wanted specifically a 2015 Infiniti Q50 with the 3.7 V6 engine and in AWD. These are a dime a dozen out there, but I wanted one equipped with the Deluxe Touring Package and the Technology. This is rare to come by in the color combination that I wanted too. I finally found one on Carvana. I thought I was getting a clean, one owner, off-lease vehicle with a carfax that showed no accidents, and an advertisement that made zero mention of body damage. All the pictures looked great, clean and clear and Carvana even pointed to small area on the back bumper with "level 1" damage. Honestly, I couldn't even see anything in that picture. It all seemed too good to be true. The car finally gets to me on a Saturday morning and to my surprise there were scratches and chips all over the drivers side of the car and even a few dents that were never mentioned. The interior was super dirty and dusty too, and there was a rip on the rear leather seat. I decided to hang on to the car for a few days to see if Carvana would make it right. The delivery driver took pictures of the areas and sent them to the team. Meanwhile, I had the car inspected and it was discovered that this car had the entire passenger side repainted. Extensive body/paint work was not expected or even disclosed. It felt like to me that this was concealed. Also, the tape marks were pretty fresh and the car had compound residue in many areas, indicating that the paintwork was fresh, possibly even done by Carvana. I am still waiting to see what Carvana will do to make it right. So far, they offered $350 to take care of the interior, an amount which just covers a detail but does nothing to address the leather seat replacement. Who knows what they will do about the exterior which needs paint correction. Also, I received a bunch of mechanical errors while driving the car on the 2nd day. Carvana only offers to have their warranty company address these things. While the business and delivery ends of dealing with Carvana were smooth, the actual product delivered is not as described and I have been left to feel deceived. I ended up keeping my car because it has everything I was looking as far as features and it is hard to find. However, I believe the pricing could have been lower to better reflect the car's true condition and dealing with Carvana on the support side of the house is not as easy as you would think. They are quick to just tell you to return the car, instead of trying to make things right.
