Overview2015 FORD MUSTANG

The 2015 Ford Mustang is another offering in Ford's long line of muscle cars that go all the way back to 1965. When you buy a Ford Mustang, you know that you will get unlimited power practically every time you turn on the engine. The Mustang was popular in 2015, experiencing the best sales year of the decade and the highest number of Mustangs sold since 2007.

Engine Power

This is the main reason why people will buy a Ford Mustang. It is a muscle and performance car through and through and even the four-cylinder version of today's Mustang represents many steps forward from the old versions of the vehicle. The Mustang GT has a V8 engine and has 460 horsepower while the standard version has a still-powerful 310 horsepower engine that can go from 0-60 mph in under five seconds.

Front Seats

Although the back seats are small, the front seats in the Ford Mustang allow both the driver and the passenger to ride in comfort. The front seats have plenty of lumbar support for comfort and there is much head room available. The bucket seats in the front keep you in place when you are letting it out with the powerful engine.

Fuel Economy

The Ford Mustang performs better than most other muscle cars in its class when it comes to gas mileage. The standard EcoBoost engine will get 21 miles per gallon in the city and 32 on the highway. The fuel economy does decrease with the GT version, but it will still get around 20 miles per gallon combined. This will hit you in the pocketbook slightly less when it comes to costs of operating your car.

Back Seat

While the Mustang is listed as a four-seater, in actuality, it is practically a two-seater since adults will have difficulty fitting in the back seat. There are less than 30 inches of legroom in the back seat, making it generally only suitable for children or smaller adults. However, the back seats can fold down, helping you when you need to carry larger items in the trunk.

J.D. Power gives the 2015 Ford Mustang two stars out of five when it comes to its reliability rating. While this rating seems low, it is not necessarily out of line with other sports cars in its class.

Infotainment Options

The base model Mustang does not have many advanced infotainment features. It does have the standard Ford SYNC feature and a small screen but not much else. There are additional infotainment options that are available in the higher-priced options and there is an optional SYNC 3 entertainment system available in some models.
