Overview2016 CHEVROLET CAMARO
More than your granddaddy's muscle car, the fully redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is such an impressive vehicle model that it spawned the entire line of Chevy Camaros that continues through to today. A sporty coupe with two doors and four seats, it offers just as much in the way of braking and handling than it does in speed. In fact, US News ranked the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro the #1 most affordable sports car in 2016 and the #5 best used sports car under $20k.
Handles Like a DreamThe 2016 Chevrolet Camaro takes turns tightly and nimbly on all types of roads, handling with sharp responsiveness and a strong, secure grip. Smaller and lighter than the Camaros of previous years, the 2016 model introduced a more advanced chassis and packed it with the choice of a 3.6-liter V-6, 6.2-liter V-8, or 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged engine, each one giving a quiet and smooth ride whether on the highway or in town. The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is capable of 275-455 horsepower and can get 16-22 mpg in town and 25-31 mpg on the highway.
Options, Options, OptionsThe 2016 Chevrolet Camaro comes in a variety of trims, including 1SS, 2SS, 1LT, 2LT, and a convertible model. The standard 1LT model comes with automatic headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and keyless ignition and entry. With the 2LT, you get ventilated and heated front seats, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and dual-zone automatic climate control as well as the options of the upgraded Convenience and Lighting Package and an RS Package for either model with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, a rear lip spoiler, special grille, and xenon headlights. From there, the 1SS and 2SS build upon the 1LT and 2LT, respectively, in areas of both performance and luxury.
Techno-GiantThe 2016 Chevy Camaro is packed with technology for ultimate entertainment and convenience. Coming standard with the vehicle are Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, the Chevrolet MyLink interface with a 7-inch touch screen, OnStar with 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility integration, satellite radio, and a six-speaker audio system with auxiliary audio jack and two USB ports. Then there's the upgraded Technology package that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an 8-inch voice-controllable touch screen, and a nine-speaker Bose sound system.
Line of SightThe shape of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro doesn't allow for the greatest outward visibility. Both side and rear visibility are less than optimal, but forward visibility is fine. Part of the issue with the rear visibility is that the windows are particularly narrow, tightly squeezing the rear view.
Tight FitAlong the same lines, the build of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is a little cramped. In particular, the trunk and rear seat could both be roomier.
Plastic InteriorPeople seeking a softer and more sophisticated interior may be a little put off by the 2016 Chevy Camaro's hard plastic body.
