OverviewBMW 3 SERIES
The BMW 3 Series is a class-defining aerodynamic sedan with a suspension system designed to tackle the tarmac with great precision. The most recent of the 3 Series, the 2020 BMW, comes equipped with an innovative and powerful sport-tuned 382-horsepower M340i engine. The shape-shifting BMW 3 Series also has an aesthetic exterior.
Power and PerformanceWhen it comes to performance, the 2-liter TwinPower turbo-inline 4-cylinder engine, with 16 valves, offers a total of over 380-horsepower. With an electronic throttle control, driving the BMW 3-Series gives you access to high-precision direct injection and variable valve control for enhanced performance. Coupled with the aerodynamic exterior, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles-per-hour within 4.2 seconds.
HandlingFor a smooth and safe ride, the car has an inbuilt Dynamic Stability Control system, which allows you to safely take corners at high speeds. The related Dynamic Traction Control actively controls the state-of-the-art suspension systems to allow the maximum possible traction. For braking purposes, the car has been fitted with four disc brakes that are controlled by an Anti-lock Braking System for the best possible performance, irrespective of road surface conditions.
Safety Control MeasuresThe front and rear head protection system prevents you from risky cranial injuries in case of crashes, and it comes equipped with various airbag systems on the seats and sides to prevent front, rear, and side impacts. The additional Frontal Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning systems ensure that you are well alerted for a safe driving experience. The additional Frontal Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning systems ensure that you are well alerted for a safe driving experience.
Drive LimitationIn the US, the 3-Series comes with the automatic-transmission-only option. In case you prefer the automatic drive transmission, then you may be slightly disappointed with the drive limitation and loss of manual control. Removing the manual option limits you in the kind of extra drive power that comes with the previous manual BMW 3 Series models.
Limited Storage SpaceTo pack more power and allow the aerodynamic look, BMW has had to limit the volume of space available. Although the 2019 BMW 3 Series has a bigger space as compared to the predecessor, the 56.5 cubic-feet of cargo space may be quite of a limitation, depending on your ambitions and needs.
Struggling Gear ShiftsThe eight-speed automatic transmission system may offer you more speed but at the cost of a rather sluggish and struggling gear control. The automatic transmission system technically does not hold gears so well, especially when sport-driving. Comparing this to the manual option of the BMW 3 Series, you can certainly feel the disappointment especially when you accelerate to higher gears: the vehicle may fail to sustainably maintain high speeds without relegating gears.
