If you're shopping for a car that combines practicality, affordability and a measure of flair, Scion might have just the vehicle for you with its 2015 xB. Despite its small, easy-to-park footprint (it's 14.5 inches shorter in length than a Corolla), this Scion offers plenty of room for four full-size adults as well as more than ample room for cargo. Discover the ins and outs on used Scion xBs, available now in Carvana's inventory.
One of the Scion xB's greatest virtues is the wide variety of customizable options that are available. Notable options include performance upgrades (such as lowering springs, a sport muffler, and high-performance brakes), a wide array of wheel options, exterior accents, and cargo area nets and totes.
Interior space for passengers is abundant in the Scion xB. There is prolific head and legroom for individuals of virtually all sizes both in the front and back, and the seats are comfortable enough to accommodate lengthy road trips.
Powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the Scion xB is surprisingly spry considering its reputation as an oddly shaped compact people hauler. Capable of producing 158 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, the Scion xB sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in 8.6 seconds; an impressively quick time for its class.
There are certainly quieter rides available than the Scion xB. Indeed, a chief complaint of the xB is the noisy cabin area, particularly during highway travel. Road and engine noise is fairly audible, while whipping winds can also be an issue due to the xB's boxy design.
Compared to competitors such as the similarly styled Kia Soul, the Scion xB falls short in the department of fuel efficiency. Getting an EPA-estimated 24 mpg combined (22 mpg city/28 mpg highway), the xB is a below average option here.
While its unique exterior design will undoubtedly have you standing out in a crowd, this unique design doesn't come without a few issues. This is primarily the case when it comes to the xB's rear visibility (or lack thereof), which is noticeably restricted as a result of its boxy composition.
