Overall the purchase of my 2009 Porsche Cayman was a great experience. However, it could of been better if some barriers of communication were fixed. This was my fist experience with purchasing a car from Carvana, so I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised on how easy it was and the process was very fluid. I completed my paperwork and a delivery date was set. Two days prior to delivery, I was notified that my car was going to be delayed by a week due to mechanical concerns. I asked as to what those concerns were and was ensured that they would contact the servicing center to find out. Over the next several days, I was back and forth with Carvana who could not tell me what the problem is. They sent an email to the servicing center, but got no response. I asked why they just didn't call them and they said unfortunately that could not. At that point I was seriously contemplating on rejecting the vehicle. I explained to customer service that I did not want to reject the vehicle based on a minor repair, but since they could not tell me what the problem was I felt that my best course of action was to not complete the sale. Carvana customer service said they completely understood, and offered to assist me in the selection of another vehicle (which I did not want to do). I elected to wait to see if Carvana could sort thigs out and figure out what the issue was with the vehicle. Two days prior to my delayed delivery date they explained that there was a blemish on the bumper that needed to be fixed. Frustrated, I explained to Carvana that they were very close to loosing a sale and I was going to lose the opportunity to purchase the car for a minor issue that could of been resolved much earlier in the process. Ultimately, I received the car which was better than expected and overall they experience was great. I think internal communications within Carvana needs to be tweeked a bit. But in the end, I would highly recommend Carvana. As a matter of fact, as I explained my story to my friends, two of them were actually in search of new vehicles and were looking at Carvana. I explained that I felt my situation might be out of the norm and they should seriously consider Carvana.
