Indeed the process is easy. I bought a beautiful 2018 Mazda MX5 last July and decided to use Carvana for another purchase, as that first car was in showroom condition when delivered.
So my second purchase, a 2019 Mini Cooper JCW hardtop was received during a bad weather period, visual inspection ok, test dive ok.
Once able to give the vehicle a thorough check over, found the coolant reservoir empty, the tires inflated on one side over 44 lbs and low on the other side. The passenger rear tire is installed reversed and according to the carfax report, all tires were changed last year with yet another one being changed in the late fall. Tires/wheels seemed to be never have been removed from the car, as the wheels/calipers are covered in brake dust - car was never given exterior detail and indications are wheels never removed - so how can I be assured that the "150-pt" inspection was competently achieved?
Brake pad thickness can't be measured if wheels never removed, and tires are worn a bit weird, seems never rotated.
One exterior blem on the driver mirror was not disclosed.
All the above was referred to Carvana and two SilverRock claims have been established to rectify. The car is under manufacturer warranty still, so it is somewhat confusing that a 30k service was never performed.
I decided to keep the car, but this experience has been a bit disappointing difference from a stellar job on the initial purchase. I hope this is an exception.
