I'm going to begin my review by saying I won't shop for a car anywhere else from now on.
In the beginning, you have a beautiful shinny pictures of vehicles that appear to be in show room shape. Next, you have super easy and obtainable financing, even for someone with circumstances like I was in. Uploading documents is a breeze, and verifying said documents is done in a snap.
When you are through finding your terms, you're going to begin to look for cars in your budget that are available for delivery or pick-up immediately. You won't find any... at all... and there is no negotiation. So you then shop the coming inventory with stock photos. Don't fall for the sense of urgency gimmick by assuming you need to snatch one of these card because they'll go fast otherwise. If you can't find what you want in your budget you can simply set an alert to look for it, and you'll get an email when one shows in the inventory. It's what we did.
Also, if you can be patient Carvana will run a special or sale, which will bring the price down on the car you want. Thanksgiving and Christmas had specials, it was great!
As the title of my review stated, empathy is everything. I had the car scheduled to be picked up in Nashville two days after Christmas and I'd drive it 6 hours home. The pick-up location was somehow changed to Atlanta... Carvana didn't point fingers, they apologized and took ownership of the problem. Next, their local manager gave us $50 in gift cards as an apology and to pay for gas or a meal until we could figure it out. Carvana later called and offered to ship the car to my home at no charge, and pay for me to rent a car so I could go back to work until the car was delivered. I was floored. I've been raving ever since.
Now the communication regarding the delivery from Carvana is quite poor. I wasn't called when the car was picked up or scheduled for pickup. I was called the day before it arrived, and I believe the only reason that happened is because I called Caravana first. Not to complain, but just to inquire. Up to that point they had made me a believer, and I still am, I just will pick up my cars from their dispenser... like I had originally wanted to do...
I've told four people about my experience, and will tell more strictly because of my experience with them and their level of customer service. Rachel was the best, I'd recruit her to my company but I doubt we can afford someone with her skill level.
Lastly, beware the pictures they send you, they aren't an adequate representation of your car. If it weren't for the vin number on the documents I'd swear I have a different car than I was shown. But I like if overall so I didn't complain.
