I was trepidatious as first about buying a used car online, as it comes with many of its own challenges, such as not being able to see the car (e.g. cosmetic issues, weird sounds, etc) and immediate feedback on said things.
Carvana's website and support experiences are great. The search function is intuitive, there is a wealth of information on the car, and their photography process offers a layer of transparency that is not present in other services. The support/underwriting staff are very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable about the buying process.
The personal dashboard during the buying process is fairly straightforward with a few caveats; these are nitpicks, but worth mentioning.
The appointment reservation process is simple, but your appointment is subject to change at any time for any reason (mine changed twice, which affected prior plans that I had scheduled), prompted by technical glitches or otherwise.
The document signing process is easy, but any change, no matter how small, forces you to sign *all* of the documents again. You have to check back on the website to find this out; there are no notifications given that I am aware of that let you know you have to sign them again. Being on a short deadline, this information would have been appreciated.
The day of delivery was extremely quick and painless. The delivery advocate was very polite, understanding, and accommodating. Text updates, walkthrough and near-future expectations were covered, and answered most common questions. I did discover an undocumented issue with my car that he promptly explained would be covered by the warranty.
Overall a great experience, and quick. I had my car the same week that I began the process.
