I was certainly a little apprehensive about making such a substantial purchase through an App like Carvana at first, but after exploring my options over the course of a month or so, I felt much more comfortable with this type of service and realized it's actually a much better way to purchase a vehicle vs the dealership or private seller.
For me, getting financing based off my income and not my credit is very advantageous for me (maybe not for everyone though). I was able to get a much lower APR from Carvana than I would have received at a dealer.
I took about a month to feel out the market and find the car I really wanted. Carvana clearly noted the imperfections, features, and the car fax was easily accessible so I could see the car's history. Once I was sure this was the car I wanted, I went through the purchase process which was super easy. Was also happy to see that they offered the option of additional coverage on repairs for a very fair amount.
Carvana was very communicative from the time of my purchase to the time of my delivery, sending me daily text updates. My delivery experience was fantastic. The agent who delivered my car was really nice and helpful, answering all my questions and didn't make me feel rushed at all. He gave me as much time as I needed to inspect the car and take it for a test drive before signing for it.
Ultimately, the reason I felt really comfortable purchasing from Carvana was the 7-day return policy. This gave me ample time to decide if the car was accurately represented in the listing, and if it 'felt' good. Sometimes when you drive a car you can just tell something is off. I didn't get that sense at all, and overall couldn't be any happier with the condition of the car I bought and how it was represented.
The only negative is I did discover a very small chip in the windshield that was not outlined as an imperfection in the listing, as well as some weird gashes in the rubber around the windows. However, when I did contact customer service regarding this (within the 7-day return window), they put me in touch with the warranty company and it sounds like there will be some sort of resolution (although this is still in progress). So just make sure you do a thourough inspection yourself.
Overall, couldn't be happier.
