Ford Trucks
It's no secret that Ford trucks have been among the top-selling vehicles in America for a long time. Ford Large Car Segment
If you're looking to buy a large car under the Ford brand, you'll likely be looking at the Taurus. Although this is a venerable entry in Ford's lineup, it hasn't kept up with the competition in recent years. Relative to other vehicles in this segment, the Taurus lacks modern styling, tech and efficiency. However, the Taurus is still plenty powerful, offers good ride comfort and has a roomy trunk.
Ford Midsize SUVs
Even though Ford trucks are consistently popular and highly rated, the Ford midsize SUV segment comes up somewhat short compared to the competition. The Ford Explorer offers a base model with a very basic interior, which means any Explorer buyers will likely want to include some trim upgrades into their budget. The Ford Flex is another midsize SUV in Ford's stable, and it, too, has a less-than-impressive interior and is somewhat underpowered compared to competitors. However, the Flex does offer plenty of cargo space and an available 365-horsepower twin-turbo V-6.
Ford Subcompacts
The Ford Fiesta is the primary model in this category for Ford, and it enjoys a reputation of being fun to drive. However, the Fiesta is a bit tight on cargo space and has a sparsely equipped base model. If you look at higher trims, then you can match the Fiesta's fun with an upgraded interior.
