The Bronco Sport offers the same retro styling and even some of the off-road prowess of Ford’s storied Bronco model but in a smaller and more affordable package. Though it’s not quite the rugged body-on-frame rig it shares a name with, the Bronco Sport still delivers plenty of utility, if not quite as much rear-seat and cargo space. Think of it as an excellent little urban runabout that’s also happy to make occasional backcountry jaunts to the trailhead.

Ford Bronco Sport Model Lineup
The Bronco Sport is a compact crossover SUV that seats up to five passengers. It’s one of the smaller sport-utes in Ford’s lineup, slotting above the subcompact EcoSport and below the slightly larger Escape, on which it’s based.
Ford offers the Bronco Sport in four main trims: the entry-level Base, the mid-range Big Bend, the well-appointed Outer Banks, and the off-road-ready Badlands. All come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as well as forward collision mitigation and blind-spot warning. Adaptive cruise control and other advanced driving aids are available with the Co-Pilot360 Assist+ package.
Under the hood, a 181-horsepower turbocharged three-cylinder engine motivates all but the Badlands version, which gets upgraded to a 250-hp turbo four-cylinder. All-wheel drive is standard on all trims, as is an eight-speed automatic transmission.
