If the Ford Expedition isn't quite big enough for you, consider the Expedition Max. It's a long-wheelbase version of the automaker's popular full-size SUV, offering even more room inside for those who require extra cargo space. Like the Expedition it's based on, the Max earns praise for its powerful engines, including Ford's well-regarded EcoBoost V6, which provides impressive towing capabilities and solid performance. Owners also appreciate its comfortable and well-appointed cabin, which can accommodate up to eight passengers and their belongings. On the downside, the Expedition Max's size can make it somewhat cumbersome to maneuver in tight spaces, and its fuel efficiency, although improved in recent years, still lags behind some competitors in the segment. Buyers should also note that prior to 2018, the model was known as the Expedition EL.
