Lincoln Overview

Founded in 1917 and named for the 16th U.S. President, Lincoln Motor Company produces a range of luxury vehicles that compete primarily with America’s other high-end automaker, Cadillac. The company, which was acquired by Ford in 1922, traditionally shares platforms and tech with its corporate parent, distinguishing its models with bolder styling, more powerful engines, and additional features. Like Ford, Lincoln stopped selling sedans (such as its midsize MKZ model) in 2021. Its lineup now comprises a range of luxury SUVs and crossovers, including the compact Corsair, the midsize Nautilus, the three-row Aviator, and the full-size Navigator.
