Porsche Taycan lineup
The rear-wheel-drive Base model is the simplest entry into the Taycan family, while the 4 and longstanding 4S occupy the core of the range for shoppers moving up the performance ladder. The GTS, added for 2022, sits between those core models and the more intense Turbo versions. The Turbo and Turbo S are the high-performance choices, with the Turbo S positioned above the Turbo. Since 2025, the Turbo GT has served as the track-ready flagship, and the Weissach Package version pushes that focus further.
Porsche Taycan generations
From 2020 to 2026, the Taycan spans two generations. The current 2nd Generation — J1 update arrived for 2025, following the 1st Generation — J1 (2020–2024).
2nd Generation — J1 update (2025–Present)
This heavily revised Taycan keeps the J1 foundation but brings new motors and batteries, longer range, faster charging, updated styling, and revised cabin technology. Porsche later referred to this major overhaul as the second-generation Taycan.

1st Generation — J1 (2020–2024)
