The transmission is slow and the car is not very responsive. It has great acceleration though after it finally gets moving.

The Edge is an awesome dependable vehicle, would definitely go the extra to get the all wheel drive for when it is raining or snowing. Definitely do not want the leather seats if you spend a lot of time driving / riding, they are very hard, the cloth seats are more comfortable for long drives. Also do not go with the 20" Lo-Profile wheels unless you do not care about gas mileage & comfort of ride.

You need a roof rack in order to transport things like a kayak or paddleboard and you need a tow package for a bike rack.
