About the 2016 Chrysler 200

2nd generation (2015-2017), second model year, no major refresh.

Chrysler marketed the 200 as a style-forward midsize sedan with a more upscale look and cabin than many mainstream rivals. The brand leaned hard on its sleek coupe-like shape, quiet interior, available V6 and AWD, and easy-to-use cabin technology. For most shoppers, the 200’s core appeal was getting an American midsize sedan that felt more premium inside than its price class suggested, while still offering everyday comfort and strong highway manners.

The 2016 200 lineup ranged from the straightforward LX, with a four-cylinder engine and nine-speed automatic, to the sport-styled 200S, with a sport suspension and paddle shifters. The comfort-focused 200C added heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Late-year Limited Platinum and 200C Platinum versions bundled more upscale cabin, lighting, and audio equipment.

“Beautifully spacious and sharp. The car drives smoothly but I would think it would be quiet for it being a new car.”
