2014 Ford Edge

I like the size of the Edge. Feel that I have an up to date dependable vehicle

No need for 140 mph on gauge. Hard to read speed at low speeds, 50 or 60 mph should be at top. A digital display for speed would be a good feature. No mute button for radio. Should have more buttons or dials for radio and temp control, touch screen requires eyes off the road. When sun hits touch screen, vision is blurred due to finger prints. The last delayed pass of the windshield wiper is not needed, on dirty days it just smears the window requiring additional cleanings.

If the standard editions came with touchscreens I feel the car would sell better, even if Ford had to take a cut and still sell it at the price point it sells it at now. Just make other options a bit more pricier. I would have been all for having to pay for other options such as SAT radio, myTouch Ford and Navigation if a touchscreen came standard on all models of the Ford Edge.

I have read should be able to load apps onto the Sync program - but Ford does not seem to discuss that - a feature that went away. I am bothered that they are changing Ford Sync and I won't be able to move to a newer version (if it has features I want). I'd pay a reasonable upgrade fee for that - if available.

Vehicle started making a lot of engine noise after 10,000 miles.

As most vehicle manufacturers market heavily to women, why don't they provide for a purse? I don't need a cavernous console. I don't drive leaning on the armrests, but I do need to reach my purse occasionally. Make the console smaller and leave a flat area for a purse.

This is my third Ford Edge.

Tell Ford to spend a few more pennies and make buttons for the seat heaters instead of having to use the touch screen.

I like my new Ford Edge. I wished it was a little more wider to truly fit 3 people in the back seat. Also the cup holders are not right for the back seat. Please review the Chrysler Pacifica way of cupholders they had it right.
