Lincoln MKZ
Lincoln introduced an all-new midsize luxury sedan to its lineup in 2006. Originally called the Zephyr, it was renamed the MKZ the following year. The upscale four-door quickly earned a reputation as a comfortable and stylish cruiser with a plush, well-equipped interior. Since its last major redesign (in 2013), the MKZ has employed a standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with a powerful V6 and a fuel-efficient hybrid also available. All-wheel drive is also available for those who need the added traction. On the downside, some find the MKZ's ride and handling to be less composed than its sportier rivals. Additionally, its rear-seat and trunk space, though adequate, are below average for the segment. Buyers should also note that Lincoln discontinued the MKZ after the 2020 model year.

2014 Lincoln MKZ AWD
The Lincoln MKZ is a delight. One of my biggest complaints is placement of the transmission controls, which are in a vertical panel on the dashboard next to the touch screen. Several times, when I've been using the touch screen to access the entertainment, climate control or navigation system, my hand inadvertently hit buttons other than "drive", throwing the car into such as neutral or reverse. This is a big problem and can cause a dangerous situation when driving.
