Chrysler Town & Country

The Chrysler Town & Country is an upscale, comfort-focused minivan known for flexible Stow ’n Go seating and family-friendly convenience. It combines a dressed-up cabin with the everyday passenger and cargo usefulness expected of a family van.

Chrysler consistently treated the Town & Country as the more polished side of its minivan formula, with comfort and convenience taking priority over sporty handling or standout fuel economy. Its defining practical idea was Stow ’n Go seating, which made switching between people and cargo easier. The 2011 refresh improved the cabin, ride, quietness, and safety equipment, while later years kept the same family-road-trip focus until the Pacifica replaced it for 2017.

Strengths

  • Stow ’n Go rear seats fold into the floor, making it easy to switch from carrying people to hauling cargo without removing heavy seats.
  • The cabin puts comfort and convenience first, giving the van a more upscale feel than a basic family hauler.
  • Power side doors and rear-seat entertainment help make busy family days and long trips easier.
  • Models from the 2011 refresh onward include useful safety aids such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, parking sensors, and a backup camera.
  • The 2016 model provides 140.3 cubic feet of maximum cargo room, underscoring how much it can carry with the seats folded.

Who it's for

It best fits families who regularly carry children, adults, or bulky gear and want the flexibility of a minivan without a basic-feeling cabin. It also suits road-trip buyers who value easy entry, useful storage, and passenger comfort more than sporty driving or exceptional fuel economy.

Chrysler Town & Country lineup

Where offered, LX is the straightforward entry model, while Touring is the core family-focused trim. Touring-L sits above Touring with a more comfort-focused position and also served as the basis for limited-run anniversary models. The S, introduced for 2013, stands apart with darker styling, a firmer suspension, and upgraded rear entertainment. Limited is the luxury-leaning choice, while Limited Platinum became the top trim in 2015 for shoppers seeking the richest version.

Chrysler Town & Country generations

“Very happy overall with the vehicle. 1-The phone system is a problem - it will not recognize my speech no matter how many times I reset it. 2 - I wish there was a fold-down grab handle above passenger front seat. 3-Also wish power seats had a memory function as it is difficult to get seat back to the comfortable position after spouse drives.”

“Love the space it provides interiorly. The options to collapse seats gives us ton of storage room and still fits our 3 car seats comfortably. We also love the dvd player for our kids.”

“The chrome trim around the air conditioning vents cast an image on the window that is a distraction with regard to the outside rear view mirrors. This might be a safety concern because it is so distinctly in view when using the exterior rear view mirrors.”

2015 Chrysler Town & Country Touring

“The vehicle rides smooth and I haven't had any issues at all. Gas mileage is great and the interior is the most comfortable as any vehicle I have ever been in. If you need to remove the seats at any time, these are the best as they fold inside and the process is so quick and easy, really worth it. Even the windows in the sliding side doors roll down. A luxurious vehicle with advanced features for a great price.”
