About the 2021 Ram 1500

5th generation Ram 1500 (DT, launched for 2019); 2021 is the third model year.

Ram positions the 1500 as the full-size pickup that blends real truck capability with a smoother ride and a more upscale cabin than its main rivals. The model’s core appeal is breadth: it can be a basic job truck, a comfortable family truck, a luxury pickup, or a serious off-road machine. Across the range, Ram leans hard on ride comfort, interior storage, towing tech, and available big-screen infotainment as reasons to choose it over the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500.

The 2021 lineup stretches from the straightforward Tradesman work truck and efficiency-focused HFE to the leather-lined Limited and western-themed Laramie Longhorn. Rebel provides factory off-road equipment such as Bilstein shocks and a locking rear axle, while the new TRX goes much further with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, adaptive shocks, extra suspension travel, and a 12-inch touchscreen with performance and off-road displays.

“I love my 2021 Ram. I didn't want to go with Chevy or Ford because everyone else has one. I didn't want a black or white truck because everyone has one. I love my Blue Ram.”

“The tailgate likes to just open on its own. Not enough where I want to waste my life yet but overall great truck though.”

“The vehicle itself is very nice the only thing I have concerns with is the transmission my truck only has 4,500 miles on it and shifts very poorly I doubt it's going to last that long other than that the truck is great”
