It's a nice car, and about $10K less than the Audi/MB wagons, but the controls are simply awful. Why someone thought that having many of the controls accessible through a touchscreen when driving is beyond me.

The only unfortunate aspect of the vehicle is that the side mirrors are very poorly located/shaped; they create a blind spot for oncoming vehicles and pedestrians/bicycles. Pickup and acceleration were just OK until I got the Polestar after-market upgrade from Volvo, and the car is now much faster. The same exact issue was true with our 2015 Volvo. No idea why that is not offered as an option at purchase. The 4-cylinder engine still sounds very loud and almost straining at times.

I like the Volvo brand. They are reliable, stylish, extremely functional. The controls are intuitive and easy to learn. It has enough power for passing and entering the interstate.
