About the 2019 Ram ProMaster

1st North American ProMaster generation (2014-2021), mid-cycle lineup expansion year.

Ram positions the ProMaster as an upfit-friendly full-size work van built around easy loading and usable cargo space. Its front-wheel-drive layout helps create a low, flat load floor, while the wide space between the wheel wells and nearly vertical side walls make shelving and cargo organization easier. Compared with other large vans, the ProMaster leans into cargo-room efficiency, maneuverability, and multiple roof and length choices more than luxury or advanced driver-assistance features.

The 2019 ProMaster range spans a compact 1500 Low Roof for tight urban routes through the extended 3500 High Roof, which has 462.8 cubic feet of cargo space. High-roof versions provide 76 inches of interior cargo height, while the work-focused cabin offers a 5-inch touchscreen and a rear backup camera.

How the 2020 Ram ProMaster compares

A factory-installed trailer hitch option also raises towing capacity on qualifying vans, while the engine, styling, safety equipment, and cabin tech largely carry over.

“If you need a large vehicle for Hobby or business, this Pro Master Handles like a car in a parking lot. It is excellent for a 9 foot high and 20ft long vehicle.”

2019 Ram ProMaster 159" High Roof no Windows

“Its great for my purposes. Has a lot of room, but make sure you insulate it against sound because it is very loud. Seats are comfortable, but are high, there should be a way to lower them, not just adjust front to back, same with steering wheel. Overall view from windows is exceptional and love the large mirrors”

RCRobyn C.

“Hold out for a model with more current safety features, i.e.: Blind spot and lane assist, adaptive cruise control.”
