About the 2019 FIAT 500X

1st generation (2016-2023), mid-cycle refresh year

FIAT positioned the 500X as a small crossover that keeps the look and personality of the 500 hatchback but adds more room, a taller driving position, and standard all-wheel drive. In plain terms, it is the city-friendly, style-first choice for shoppers who want something easier to park than a larger SUV but more useful than a small car. Its biggest built-in differentiators were distinctive Italian styling, standard AWD, and a compact cabin that still seats five.

The 2019 lineup starts with the straightforward Pop, which has a 7-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration, remote start, and standard all-wheel drive. Trekking adds a tougher look and richer cabin materials, while Trekking Plus tops the regular range with heated leather-trimmed seats, navigation, upgraded audio, and parking sensors. The late-year 120th Anniversary Edition gives Pop a dressier two-tone look with LED headlamps and a black roof.

“Great car overall. Interior comfort is terrible. You must be five foot tall to be comfortable. Not a lot of room for storage in the trunk.”

“This car is perfect for anyone looking for a car that has loads personality and wants something no one else on your street drives. It's peppy and a breeze to maneuver in traffic. The interior is just as fun and comfortable.”
