2020 FIAT 500X

The biggest change for the 2020 FIAT 500X is the new Sport trim, which adds a more athletic look but no extra power. Otherwise, this is a light-update year with a newly offered black-painted roof and several 2019 special editions gone.

About the 2020 FIAT 500X

1st generation (2016-2023 U.S. market), after the 2019 refresh; 2020 is the follow-up year that adds the Sport trim.

FIAT positioned the 500X as a small crossover with more personality than a typical subcompact SUV. Its core appeal was Italian styling, standard all-wheel drive, a turbocharged engine, and city-friendly size, while still giving buyers seating for five and useful cargo flexibility. Compared with more anonymous rivals, the 500X stood out on design, cabin character, and bad-weather traction more than outright cargo space or value.

Every 2020 500X has a 177-hp turbo engine, a nine-speed automatic, standard all-wheel drive, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new Sport stands out with unique bumpers, dark trim, special front seats, and paddle shifters, while Trekking Plus emphasizes comfort with leather seats, navigation, and front and rear parking sensors.

“It's a great little car for everyday things. Especially easy to get into and out of when pregnant. Better brand than I thought, I haven't always heard great things about Fiat. But so far so good. I like it more all the time.”

MCMichael C.
2020 FIAT 500X Pop AWD

“The car is under rated and shows value that more expensive cars like Cadillac, Lincoln, Mazda can not touch at that price.”

GKGary K.
2020 FIAT 500X Trekking Plus AWD

“My Fiat has been in the Service department more days than I have driven it. Driven loaner car 3 months and 6 days.”
