2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV

I have a very good car. It is roomy, though small. Rides pretty good. Cost to own is good. Performance is pretty good. I would highly recommend it!

Electric vehicles are the future. They provide an infinitely better driving experience than internal combustion engine cars. Acceleration is firm and confident. The Bolt is a pleasure to drive. It is quiet, comfortable, and well designed. Acceleration is excellent. One-pedal driving mode makes driving in heavy traffic much easier. I rarely step on the breaks. The car has been completely trouble free and economical to operate. I easily exceed EPA estimated mileage when traveling over suburban streets.

Get handling, efficiency and environmentally friendly.

The Chevy Bolt is a great car, and is very efficient. The only downside is the lack of infrastructure available to facilitate long-distance driving.

Having owned the Chevy Bolt EV for 7 months and 6000 miles, I am impressed with the vehicle's build quality, quiet ride, and comfort. Although the front seats are strangely narrow and bolstered, they seem to offer good support and comfort on 2hr drives. The rear seat is exceptionally comfortable for 2 adults with excellent head room and leg room. Driver and center instrument panels are large, All menus and controls are intuitive. Highway ride is excellent. Ride on rough roads can be choppy due to short wheel base.. Handling is tight and responsive. Max acceleration is impressive. Single pedal driving with regenerative braking is fun and addictive. Overall, battery range has proven to be 210 miles in subfreezing weather and 270 miles in 70 deg weather on hilly New England terrain. Range is best in city driving and degrades with 68mph driving from 270 to 230 miles. With a Level 2 / 220 Volt, 32amp charger in my garage, my battery charges from empty to full charge in 8hr. With my daily driving range of 80 miles recharging takes about 3hr. Under real conditions I am achieving 3.8-5.0 miles/kwh depending on terrain and highway/city driving mix. I do almost all my charging at home. On-line Plug Share program is excellent for finding public charging stations, especially Level 1 DC fast charge stations. My Chevy Bolt EV is my daily driver for round trips under 200 miles (95% of my driving). For round trips greater than 200 range, We still avoid range anxiety by using my wife's Honda. Overall I am very pleased with my Chevy Bolt EV. I thoroughly enjoy driving the vehicle. I would definitely buy it again.

Excellent choice and fun to drive!

Have another vehicle or be prepared to rent one if you vacation beyond the range, at least on the East coast. There just are not many charging stations around yet.
