2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV

We love our Bolt. It has become the first vehicle chosen to use. That include a BMW convertible and two Porsches. My wife was skeptical when I suggested the Bolt but fell in love with it as soon as she drove it. I now must get permission before I can use it. There has not been one second of questioning the purchase of our Bolt. We are now considering a plug in electric SUV. We live in the mountains West of Denver and want 4 wheel drive for Winter driving.

The Bolt is a joy to drive.

Do it. You will love it.

Does not have adaptive cruise control. Zippy fun drive. A little overpriced. missing features at price point.

Overall cost of ownership, comfort, and environmental benefits.

The vehicle is perfectly average. It looks good, not great, has decent mileage per charge, and the interior is interesting, but not exciting. The Chevrolet Bolt checks off most boxes but does not provide any irresistible features.

It's a chevy. It's a cool car but it's just basic. It's a chevy.

This car is a great city car that can be used for longer trips. If you can charge at home, it is a perfect experience. Cross country trips to out of the way places are a challenge. The main issue is EV charging infrastructure. Long distance travel takes careful consideration and planning. It may be necessary to add overnight stops for charging. A Tesla seems only slightly better for way more money.

I like the comfort, maneuverability, pick-up and environmentally friendliness of the electric vehicle. Also, the mileage range is enough to get me to the locations where I need to go.
