About the 2018 Ford F-150

13th generation (2015-2020), mid-cycle refresh year

Ford positioned the F-150 as a full-size pickup built to cover both demanding work and everyday personal use. Its identity centered on broad cab, bed, engine and trim variety, strong towing and hauling capability, and a high-strength steel frame paired with an aluminum cab and bed. The range stretched from basic job-site trucks to luxury-oriented crew cabs and the specialized Raptor, giving the model unusually wide appeal within one truck family.

The 2018 lineup ranges from the work-focused XL and practical XLT to the leather-trimmed Lariat, Western-themed King Ranch, and more luxurious Platinum and Limited. Limited stands out with massaging front seats, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera, while the 450-hp Raptor uses specialized suspension and four-wheel drive for high-speed off-road driving.

A 3.0-liter turbo-diesel joined King Ranch, Lariat, Platinum, XL, and XLT configurations later in the model year.
