About the 2019 Ford F-150

13th generation (2015-2020), second model year after the 2018 mid-cycle exterior and powertrain update

Ford positioned the F-150 as a full-size truck built to cover both serious work and everyday use. Its identity centered on strong towing and hauling capability, a fully boxed steel frame with an aluminum body, and an unusually wide range of cab, bed, engine, and trim combinations. That breadth let the same model serve as a basic job-site truck, a comfortable family vehicle, a luxury pickup, or a high-speed off-road truck.

The 2019 lineup stretches from the work-focused XL to the better-connected XLT, whose standard 8-inch touchscreen supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Limited pairs a luxury cabin and massaging front seats with a 450-hp twin-turbo V6, while Raptor uses that engine with specialized off-road suspension and low-speed Trail Control. King Ranch and Platinum emphasize leather, premium audio, built-in navigation, and added comfort features.

Forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking becomes standard on every trim. Automatic high-beam headlights are also standard across the lineup.

“Not only is the F150 awesome looking, the 3.5 Ecoboost also has plenty of power, great towing capacity and decent fuel economy. Lets not forget the roominess of the crew cab. The interior design of the Lariat is to die for!”

DEDon E.
2019 Ford F-150 Supercrew Cab 4WD

“I love my F-150, my only complaints would be the non keyless start/remote entry, and the manual seats. It sucks that not even a $42,000 truck doesn't get you those luxuries. But besides that it's been a dream. The 5.0L paired with the 10 speed transmission is very fun, it's pretty quick for a ""base model"" pickup truck.”

SSSteven S.
2019 Ford F-150 Supercrew Cab 4WD

“At speeds above 40, there is a transmission shudder. This is not at this point covered by a warranty, although I am investigating this issue. I think I am going to have to pay to have it fixed.”
