2017 Tesla Model X

Don't buy if you mind long repair times or expect great quality. The ride is a blast when it works and the Falcon wing doors are great too.

I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I like this car. It is amazing and I am still learning what it can do.

My model X as an electric car, is great. I am very satisfied with it and home and Supercharging. Over all as a regular car I love it. (Except for: a rumble that has been reported to my tech, and he's watching; and lighting on gull wing is insufficient. I hit my head at night on corner 2 time, and another person hit it too; same problem for rear trunk. I upgraded to aftermarket brighter lights, but this was not enough. Have not figured out where to purchase brighter central gull wing light, as it is a different type of unit.) As a self driving car it sucks. unsafely darts into oncoming traffic; tries to turn into left turn lanes; corrects steering abruptly, scaring passengers and making driving on ice unsafe; Doesn't make room for semi tractor trailers, in other words it doesn't stay close to left or right as needed for clearance conditions. Abruptly stops auto drive when lane lines, etc. are clear to me. CAN NOT BE TRUSTED EVER! Auto back in parking works very well, then doesn't. Same with parallel.

Don't be afraid to try something new. There are thousands of Tesla's on the road today and many more to come with the release of the Model 3 this summer. This car answers all the naysayers of the past criticisms. It's beautiful, fast, roomy and can travel 260 miles before a charge. The time has come for EVs.

Do your research. Understand what you are getting into with an electric vehicle. Be willing to live with near-term constraints like fewer charging stations.

I believe that Tesla today offers the best all-around auto available today

This is the future of the Automotive industry. Electric vehicles performance is outstanding. Can't believe it took this long.

Test drive the vehicle. The responsiveness and acceleration of a performance electric car have to be experienced to fully appreciate it.

Practical and leading edge but not finished. When the beta software is actually finished Tesla will be ahead of the competition. They overstate current capability and sell "vaporware" like many California companies do in the Silicon Valley. Model X is a good size and a very nice drive. It lacks the quiet quality feel of traditional cars but excels in performance. Handles like a sports car but seats 7! Costs should drop 30% or more so I'm worried about resale but enjoying being a market leader.

It is a dream to drive, responsive, agile, safe, quiet and comfortable. It is also just fun.
