2017 Ford Transit-150 Low roof Passenger
I love the look and feel of our new big family van and it meets our needs beautifully from school class trips to sports to a cross country trip immediately after purchasing out Transit. The seats, however are great for car seat installation. The seats are comfy...for the first couple of hours but the seatbelts will get you in the hip if you try to lay down. That being said, we were sideswiped by a semi trailer and the van performed amazingly. We were all safe and sound (except for broken glass nicks). The van went down into a median ditch, into oncoming traffic and was able to be pulled back to the correct side of the highway AND it did not flip, though we should have rolled. That reason alone is enough for me to have confidence in the new Passenger Ford Transit.

2017 Ford Transit-150 Low roof, 130" WB Cargo
It is one of the most, if not the most advanced full sized regular, standard van type vehicle on the market. It handles and performs superbly and these are not normal attributed for a box type vehicle on the highway. And it is actually fun to drive and visibility is great too which definitely adds to the desirability.

Gas mileage is horrible in this day and age, other companies are doing much better but the government does not require averages on work vehicles ???????

Do not buy a transit! Windows do not open, storage/ cup holders too small &/or inaccessible, noisy, rough riding, no lockable storage compartments, no courtesy/safety lighting, no dimming rear view mirror, gas pig. No auto headlamps. Inferior A/C system, noisy. Cheap, small seats. Too much glass, heats up interior to unacceptable levels. No power seats. One good thing, it's roomy.

The van is high, I had to get running boards to get in. The front seat does not lower, the windows are about 2 inches above your leg while sitting. The controls are too far away. There is not enough storage space. The rear view mirror has a good back up camera and it has how many miles to empty feature. You are sitting atop the gas container which makes me a little nervous plus being so high in the cab if you got in a wreck you have nothing to protect you.

If you are looking for roominess above and beyond the typical suv then you want a custom transit van.

Vehicle is perfect for the purposes we purchased it. We use it for everyday trips and travel with a stroke victim.
