Never thought of myself as a Chevy girl but I LOVE this car. So quiet. We bought it 5 months ago with a full tank of gas - and we haven't purchased gas since. Love how quiet it is too. But the gas option gives me peace of mind.

Do not look at the purchase price, only. Look at the cost of owning and operating.

That despite it being an electric vehicle it is really fun to drive and has a lot of power. The fact that it doesn't shift when running on electricity is fun.

Engineering is world class. The electric/gas engine backup range is state of the art. Interior appointments are plastic-y in spots and don't feel like they'll hold up. Overall look of the car is very good and it's peppy. Carpeting feels cheap. Android Auto and on-board voice command/software don't play well together. In general Android Auto is slow and buggy. It's a disappointment that Waze doesn't integrate beyond voice commands. The Wi-Fi feature is nice but is priced in an uncompetitive way (same goes for OnStar).Interior space is poor in the rear and it doesn't really ride 5. The need to chop out weight (and save money?) means that typical features for a car in this price zone aren't included.

You need to take into consideration your total round trip commute to work or errands etc. Be realistic on your miles of commute. Also take into consideration the availability of a charging station near your workplace and if you would be willing to charge at home knowing that an average home has a 110-volt wall plug which means, 10 hours to recharge. . This is extremely important when buying this car.

The vehicle provides an outstanding ride with multiple electronic features. It allays any possible range anxiety with the fuel system technology.

2017 Chevrolet Volt
The Volt is a fast comfortable ride. Electric range is very good for most distances needing to be traveled. When using the gas generator the acceleration is not as good as electric but is adequate for driving. The don't like driving normal gas cars after driving the Volt.
