2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV

The Bolt is a fabulous car for urban/suburban driving. With a range of 200+ miles on a full charge, it will satisfy almost anyone's daily needs. I recommend investing in a 240v home charger so you don't have to depend on public charging stations. (If you can use a charging station at work, that will probably take care of your needs too.) It's a great feeling to be able to just plug it in at night and know that it will be ready for you in the morning. If you want to take it on a long road trip, you will have to build in extra time for charging away from home.

The Chevy Bolt has excellent range, and excellent acceleration and handling. It is fairly easy to operate. We love it!

The Bolt answers a lot of the needs that people having a moderately long commute have. It is comfortable and reliable, cheap to operate, fun to drive and available now vs waiting another who knows how long for the baby Tesla. In California it gets you into the HOV lane so that can have a dramatic impact on your daily commute time. I think Chevy still has more to do in developing the Bolt's technology. I find the lane assist weak and the warning is inconsistent, no adaptive cruise control and no garage door opener, I really don't understand that at all.

Great car, ain't no Tesla though.

The Bolt EV is a car that almost anyone can own and drive as a daily commuter. The range it has (240 miles) is enough to also be considered a good traveling vehicle, except for the charging infrastructure that hasn't been built yet.

Have had the Bolt for 4 months. Love the range, acceleration, safety features (blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, etc.), cargo capacity, and interior features.

I love not knowing what current gas prices are! Gas stations are now quick stops for coffee and slurpees. Our electric bill only went up $20 per month after purchasing an electric car and we have virtually no maintenance (no oil changes, transmission fluid, etc...).
