Sedan trims (530i/530i xDrive/540i/540i xDrive): 7th-generation G30, first year. Gran Turismo trims (535i Gran Turismo/535i Gran Turismo xDrive/550i Gran Turismo xDrive): first-generation F07 after its earlier refresh, final U.S. model year before BMW replaced it with the 6 Series Gran Turismo.
BMW positions the 5 Series as a midsize luxury car that mixes sporty handling, long-trip comfort, understated design, and advanced cabin tech.
