Loving my new vehicle. It was definitely a great investment. The only trouble I had with this vehicle is that I was recently in a car accident and my airbags did not deploy.

The Elantra is the perfect mix of price, mpg, consumer reports ratings (reliability, satisfaction), cargo, driver roominess, driving performance, and style. I almost can't believe I got so much car for such a low price.

I was afraid of buying from Hyundai. I still am to some extent after my experience with Kia. I know that Hyundai partially owns Kia. After the experience with Kia I have NO confidence in the 100K mile warranties offered by anyone. The Elantra purchase was to replace my Kia that I loved. I no longer trust Kia and feared further issues that Kia would not cover. The Elantra purchase was to buy a hopefully dependable vehicle that looks good that has reasonably nice features at a good price.

As I mentioned earlier, this is my third Elantra which initially I purchased for the gas mileage and also liked the looks. I fell in love with the gadgets and the styling. However this particular vehicle was a disappointment and I am considering a different brand. The navigation system is unreliable, the a/c is not as good as my last one, it seems to have less pep and I hate the color. I had planned to get one like my previous Elantra which was a light blue. This color shows every speck of dirt and absorbs the heat making it unbearable and difficult to cool. The light blue was not an option when I purchased this car (2015). Neither came with a spare tire but I purchased one on my own. That should be included. People talk down about the lack of a spare tire. What good is an inflater when u have a blowout. It screams "cheap" when the tire is omitted. Hyundai is building a good name especially with this model.

The Elantra is a very attractive-looking vehicle, and is very good value for the money.

Hyundai should have been honest about fuel efficiency. They say it's 28 city and 32 highway. The BEST I have got so far is 27. Not even the average, that's the best. Hyundai lied. My Civic was also reported to get 28 city and I rarely got as low as 28. I almost always got 32... almost always! I calculate my fuel efficiency with every tank fill-up. I didn't change my driving style overnight so I am comparing my driving in the same city as when I had my Civic for 7 years. Hyundai lied and I will never buy another Hyundai. I wish I had bought the Civic I had looked at.

Only thing that I hate is there is no spare tire or jack with a new car. A can of fix a flat & pump isn't enough to make me happy.
