2016 Hyundai Elantra

I love my Elantra! Love ittttt. It's so great.

This is my 2nd Elantra and my very first brand new car ever! I LOVE my Elantra, it's a great car for my needs and for it's value.

Love my Elantra and would buy it again if I had to do it over.

I think a spare tire and jack should be basic items when purchasing a new car. I don't think it should be hundreds of dollars more.

Gas mileage is worse than expected especially in stop and go traffic and city driving. Would prefer better gas mileage, in particular in city driving. I would also appreciate more accurate gas mileage testing by the manufacturer. I would strongly prefer a rear view mirror with larger range of motion. I would prefer a slightly wider and flatter driver's seat. The seat cushion shouldn't angle up on the sides as sharply.

So far the car performs very well and I'm very pleased (I've had it for only 3 1/2 months). The one thing I would recommend being a standard feature is rear windshield wipers. The window is quite large and it's a stretch to clean it off before driving.

Definitely a lighter feel than expected. The interior plastic on the handles is cheaper than my 2012 Optima. Overall the Elantra is a much lighter car, even the doors feel light. Will take some getting used to. I expected the car to be a bit larger overall, inside and out. This 2016 standard model I purchased reminds me of an improved version my 2002 Accent regarding driving performance and pick-up. Good value, great gas mileage. One thing I don't like is the car feels as though it shifts sideways when driving over rough back roads. Hoping it will handle OK for winter. Great sound system, however the Sirius radio does not have a strong signal connection in my area and has gone out for 10 seconds at a time.

I'm enjoying my car

I feel like the gas pedal is not very well done, the start is very touchy making it very hard to start moving smoothly, and further into it there is a lot of pedal movement that does virtually nothing.
