Although I always want more options, better fuel mileage, and better interior for the least amount of money... I'm overall very happy with my purchase.

Love the heated seats, never had them before. Handles well in all the snow, gas mileage is good. Car is very quiet inside and out. Love the foot lift gate.

The gas mileage is poor and well less than advertised.

Cannot map to city with navigation and other inputs not recognized. Glass has water spots that need removing and I am going to seal. Wish I could turn off tailgate opening sensor. When attaching bike rack or cable for bike lock into trailer receiver sensor opens tailgate into bike rack. I have a Thule bike rack that folds down for access but when I have bike rack installed with cable lock I can't fold down bike rack if I have to access area around sensor. I guess that would be a good time to remember to leave key outside the active zone.

Ford's MySync system is terrible and needs a lot of improvement. It doesn't play compressionless audio, such as FLAC; the voice system is terrible, difficult, and unnatural to use; and there should be a method to override the safety controls on the radio/navigation system when a passenger is in the car. Ford should really look to Google's products/technology for direction and/or assimilation into their vehicles.

I really wish the Escape was offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. My other car, a 2003 New Beetle Turbo S, has a 6-speed I adore. I know the Escape is built with a manual tranny for the overseas market. There is a segment of the market that wants all the bells and whistles of a sweet leather interior with a third pedal to push in. The "Sport" function doesn't cut it.

Needs App Radio and easier automatic bluetooth connection. Should not switch to USB mode when phone plugs in. Unfortunately I have not had much time with my new vehicle yet, but so far I am very happy and impressed with its overall performance and usefulness.
