2015 Cadillac SRX

Overall pretty satisfied with the car, as it should be in this price range.

Totally love my car. My wife loves my car. My mother-in-law loves my car, but ESPECIALLY the look of the headlights (she said so!).

Great car but: Worst headlights of anything I've owned in years and no option choices or aftermarket solution. A-pillar blocks forward vision at intersections... dangerous. Prefer joystick screen control rather than touchscreen. Audi, BMW and Mercedes have this down. Who needs the fingerprints. Could use better NAV system choices; think Audi's Google maps option, it's outstanding. Ride is amazing! Thank you for not putting low(er) profile tires on this model. Better than Lexus or Mercedes. Good enough to get me to consider a CTS after the Audi.

Hard to remember what all the controls are for and you have to take your eyes off the road to use

The temperature control buttons are too low. It is very difficult to change something while driving. It is difficult to look down and keep my eyes on the road at the same time. Previously my seat got very hot. While I was driving. I tried to turn down the temperature on the seat heater and inadvertently turned on the air conditioned seat because I couldn't see that low. Then it got ice cold. The seat heater and air condition buttons are too close together.

Have one small rattle that I cannot identify and my car is only 6 months old. Kind of irritating. Other than that, am pleased with my new vehicle

I wish Cadillac would fix the Text reading interface for iPhones. This has been a known issue for quite a while and they still have not corrected the issue. Also, they need to put a LED light in the center dash compartment/console. It is a black hole a night.

Disappointed that only 1 cellphone can be connected to the Bluetooth device at a time. Previous vehicle allowed multiple connections.

I have a Cadillac SRX with the CUE System. This system is slow, clunky and cumbersome. If I knew how much I would dislike CUE, I would have bought a different type of car. I make a point of telling my friends how unhappy I am with CUE. Also, OnStar is a complete waste of time and money. I will not renew the subscription. The Cadillac CUE system is terrible. It takes a long time to load. It is slow to respond. If I understood the limitations of the system before I purchased the car, I probably would have bought something else. The OnStar system is worthless. It does not provide value for the added subscription cost. I will let the current subscription expire. The OnStar navigation is not as good as the navigation built into the CUE system. The OnStar phone system is redundant since I have a mobile phone and bluetooth connection to the car. Similarly, the car's hot spot feature is meaningless. I already buy a data plan with my phone, and my phone can operate as a hot spot for others. There is no need for me to buy another data plan. These may have been good features before mobile phones; but, they seem anachronistic now. Shortly after I bought the car, the OnStar system started broadcasting a commercial advertisement to me. I had to call OnStar and demand that they stop sending me this type of unwanted communication. That is the only time I have ever used OnStar. I see no value in it.

Use of the vehicle, about 6500 miles so far, has revealed to me some of its weakness. 1. The fuel gauge is not accurate enough, 2. the gps in general is very poor in comparison with the VW and Garmin systems. 3. The keyless operation of the doors is poor and could be improved considerably. 4.The seat position on closing and opening doors leaves a lot to be desired. 5. The controls on the steering wheel are too complicated for the number of operations and the functions should be separated on more switches added giving specific functions to each switch ie separate the phone from the cruise control or sound from display control (which is terribly complicated) 6. The control of the height of the rear door should be better.
