About the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

W204 sedan / C204 coupe generation, late-cycle year. For the US market, 2014 is the last year for the old C-Class sedan before the all-new 2015 sedan arrives, while the coupe and old-body AMG coupe carry this generation into 2015.

Mercedes-Benz positions the C-Class as a compact luxury car with the engineering, safety focus, and cabin polish of the brand’s larger sedans in a smaller footprint. In 2014, that means a wide spread of personalities: traditional Luxury sedans, sharper Sport sedans, a sleek coupe, and full AMG performance versions. The core appeal is solid build quality, confident road manners, strong safety credentials, and a choice between classic Mercedes elegance and a more athletic feel.

The 2014 range spans comfort-focused and sportier C250 sedans, V6-powered C300 and C350 models, and high-performance C63 AMG versions. Highlights include all-wheel drive on the C300 4MATIC and C350 4MATIC, a panoramic glass roof on the coupes, and a hand-built V8 in the C63 AMG.

How the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class compares

The biggest change for 2015 is the debut of the fully redesigned W205 C-Class sedan, with a roomier cabin, richer interior, new turbocharged engines and more technology. The coupe remains on the older W204 platform for one final model year.

Frequently asked questions

What is the biggest difference between the 2014 and 2013 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

The biggest difference is the arrival of the C63 AMG Edition 507, a 507-hp special model with upgraded brakes, forged wheels, and a vented aluminum hood. The broader lineup also gains standard split-folding rear seats and black grille accents, while C350 models receive standard 18-inch wheels.

Is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class a new generation?

No. The 2014 C-Class is a late-cycle version of the outgoing W204 sedan and C204 coupe generation, not a redesign. It is the final model year for the old-body sedan before the redesigned 2015 sedan arrives.

What is the 2014 C63 AMG Edition 507?

The 2014 C63 AMG Edition 507 is a higher-output C63 AMG special model offered as a sedan or coupe. Its hand-built V8 makes 507 hp, and it adds compound brakes, 19-inch forged wheels, a vented aluminum hood, black exterior details, and upgraded cabin materials.

Which 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class models have all-wheel drive?

The 2014 C300 4MATIC Luxury sedan, C300 4MATIC Sport sedan, and C350 4MATIC coupe have all-wheel drive. The C250, rear-wheel-drive C350 models, and C63 AMG versions use rear-wheel drive.

Did every 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class get a split-folding rear seat?

Yes. Split-folding rear seats became standard across the 2014 C-Class range, improving flexibility for carrying longer items.

“Great car, looks amazing, well put together. I have always driven A Mercedes-Benz. Feedback, I'm not a fan of the whining-like sound the car makes when I accelerate in a tight turn.”

“Powerful acceleration. Interior is comfortable. Does not have a touch screen which I do not like, makes navigating menus etc more difficult.”
