I am very pleased with my purchase. I wish it had a sunroof. I think the tires are a little narrow, which affects handling at high speed. The car's interior is GORGEOUS and I love it. Many people comment on the car (which on blog sites is referred to as "ugly") as looking very cool. Most positive feedback is from young people - or people that are not prejudiced about the BMW brand as looking a certain way. I am proud of the way BMW responded to the environmental need for non-emission vehicles. I was willing to pay more for it because of that and the fact that the government too supports zero emission vehicles. It's perfect for my daily commute.

The i3 is the best of BMW and their years of research and development

Overall extremely satisfied. To add to the feature I''d like to see in the future, I''d like a battery upgrade program, even going so far as to offer upgrades of individual modules or the entire array.

Need better technical data available through instrument/OS; in particular, need charging energy consumption figures, not just driving consumption figures. Need to fix the ePower/Charge display, which makes absolutely no technical sense. Need to have a "neutral" position on power mirror control selector. Need wireless key entry as an option for all levels of the model.

Would really really like a warning that the plug-in door has been left open before I take off. Too many times to count. Also would like the car to auto-lock when I walk away. Would be great if it automatically locked when you walked away.

Electrical whine when starting and stopping developed after 2 weeks, kind of annoying.

I've been shopping for an EV since college (over 25 years ago), when I test drove a retrofit EV. I love new tech and wanted to be ahead of my friends and family.

The steering feel on center is numb. Perhaps there is a software update or modification which can be engineered to improve this. A similar situation on my Audi A6 2012 corrected a similar problem. Also, there needs to be a modest, polite horn or electric sound which can be used to alert pedestrians. The car is so quiet, people don't notice its presence, especially older folks who inhabit warm climates, a prime market for this car. The single tone horn is obnoxious, and not in character with the rest of the car. I drive a BMW i3.

The BMW i3 is an awesome car with just the right range and utility. The i3 is an amazing little car. It is perfect for us interns of utility, handling, range, performance (acceleration). It is fun to drive and is now used as our primary vehicle, an unexpected switch from our new X5 Diesel.

The beeping noise if the car is turned on before the driver's seatbelt is clasped is unacceptable in a luxury car. Beeping when the car is put in drive and moving makes sense, but beeping before then is outrageous. Understanding the drive to minimize weight and energy usage, the lack of memory seating is a real downer. Two people share this car as their "alternate" vehicle and it's backward to be missing this feature in a brand new car.
