Toyota GR Corolla Core, Premium & More Trims

On 2023–2025 models, Core is the straightforward entry trim. It has the 300-hp engine, all-wheel drive, sport-tuned suspension, digital gauges, and smartphone connectivity without the upper trims’ added cabin and appearance features.

They fill a similar entry-level role in different eras, but they are not same-year trim choices. Earlier cars use the Core name, while the newer two-trim lineup calls its entry version Base. Exact seats and exterior details differ by year.

The Circuit Edition is the more distinctive 2023–2024 version. It adds a forged carbon-fiber roof, a raised vented hood, forged BBS wheels, a large rear spoiler, upgraded seat trim, and premium audio.

On newer models, Premium Plus is the loaded trim. It combines the standard 300-hp all-wheel-drive hardware with a forged carbon-fiber roof, head-up display, heated seats and steering wheel, upgraded JBL audio, and extra engine cooling.

The 2023 Morizo Edition is the most track-focused factory version. It removes the rear seat, adds cabin bracing and unique suspension tuning, uses shorter gearing, and raises torque to 295 lb-ft for stronger acceleration.

On 2024–2025 cars, Premium keeps the Core’s main performance hardware and adds daily-use comforts. Key upgrades include suede-trimmed sport seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, JBL audio, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, and parking sensors.

Premium Plus goes beyond the 2024–2025 Premium’s comfort upgrades with a forged carbon-fiber roof, head-up display, functional vented hood, and extra cooling support. On the latest version, it also has a nine-speaker JBL system with a subwoofer.

They are top-tier trims from different parts of the first generation. Circuit Edition emphasizes a bold rear spoiler, forged BBS wheels, and special-edition styling. Newer Premium Plus models focus more on added cooling, a head-up display, heated cabin features, and upgraded audio.

On early GR Corollas, Circuit Edition adds the forged carbon-fiber roof, vented hood, forged BBS wheels, large rear spoiler, upgraded seat upholstery, and JBL audio. It also includes front and rear limited-slip differentials that some early Core cars lack.

Morizo is the more specialized track car. Unlike the five-seat Circuit Edition, it has only two seats, more torque, shorter gearing, extra body reinforcement, and unique suspension tuning. Circuit is the more practical choice and still gets the carbon roof and aggressive exterior hardware.

For 2024–2025 cars, Premium is the clearest daily-driver choice because it adds heated cabin features, better seat trim, JBL audio, wireless charging, and parking sensors without changing the core performance formula. On newer cars, Premium Plus fills that comfort-focused role.

The 2023 Morizo Edition is the most focused factory track version. Its two-seat layout, extra bracing, shorter gearing, added torque, and unique suspension make that clear. A Circuit Edition is the more practical five-seat alternative with distinctive performance hardware.

The forged carbon-fiber roof appears on the Circuit Edition, Morizo Edition, and newer Premium Plus. Core, Premium, and the newer Base trim use a conventional roof.

The 2024–2025 Premium and newer Premium Plus include heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Core and the newer Base focus more on essential performance equipment, while Circuit and Morizo equipment differs by model year.

Not across every model year. Circuit and Morizo included them from launch, while some early Core cars lack them. Starting with 2025 models, front and rear limited-slip differentials became standard on every trim to help put power down more effectively.
