Among launch-era models, the Long Range Single Motor is the entry trim. It has a 299-hp rear motor, rear-wheel drive, the large 111-kWh battery, a panoramic glass roof, and Google built into its 14.5-inch touchscreen.
The Single Motor has 299 hp, rear-wheel drive, and the lineup’s longest driving range. The Dual Motor has 489 hp and all-wheel drive, plus stronger acceleration, rear torque control, and an active air suspension.
On early models, the Plus version keeps the regular Dual Motor’s 489-hp all-wheel-drive system and adds richer cabin and assistance equipment. Highlights include a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system, head-up display, soft-close doors, 360-degree camera, and assisted driving features.
The Plus focuses on comfort and technology with 489 hp. The Performance focuses on driving response with 517 hp, sharper suspension tuning, dedicated drive modes, and Brembo brakes. The Performance trim does not automatically carry the full Plus equipment bundle.
The Plus & Performance version combines the 517-hp powertrain, sharper chassis tuning, and Brembo brakes with premium equipment. It adds items such as assisted driving features, a 360-degree camera, 25-speaker audio, and soft-close doors.
The main difference is early-run naming. The Launch Edition Long Range Dual Motor bundles the richer Pilot and Plus equipment, while Long Range Dual Motor Plus is the regular-year name for the same basic comfort-and-technology combination.
They represent the same broad idea under different era-based names. Both combine the 517-hp Performance hardware with richer assistance, audio, display, and comfort equipment. “Launch Edition” identifies the early-run version; “Plus & Performance” is the regular-year naming.
The Long Range Single Motor is the range-focused version and travels farthest on a full charge. It uses one rear motor instead of the heavier, more powerful two-motor all-wheel-drive setup.
Every trim with “Dual Motor” in its name has all-wheel drive. That includes the regular Dual Motor, Plus, Performance, Launch Edition, and Plus & Performance versions. The Long Range Single Motor has rear-wheel drive.
Look for the Long Range Dual Motor Plus or the similarly equipped launch-period Dual Motor Launch Edition. These versions emphasize upgraded audio, a head-up display, soft-close doors, camera assistance, and extra driver-support features rather than more power.

On launch-era models, the Plus-equipped and fully equipped Performance versions include Pilot Assist, Lane Change Assist, Park Assist Pilot, and a 360-degree camera with a 3D view. The premium Launch Editions bundle this equipment too.
Early Dual Motor versions use a dual-chamber active air suspension, including Plus and Performance combinations. The Long Range Single Motor instead uses coil springs and passive dampers, so its suspension does not actively adjust in the same way.
