Depending on model year, the Nissan Armada lineup starts with the practical S, SE, or SV. SV is the practical starting trim in recent Armada lineups. On 2025-and-newer models, it has the 425-hp twin-turbo V6, three-row seating, 12.3-inch driver and center displays, wireless phone integration, and core driver-assistance features.
On newer Armadas, SL adds daily-use upgrades over SV: heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, a 12-speaker Klipsch audio system, built-in Google features, a sharper surround-view camera, and Trailer Back-up Assist.
On newer models, Platinum moves beyond SL with dual 14.3-inch displays, quilted leather, a panoramic moonroof, 12-way power front seats, ventilated front seats, and a digital rearview mirror. It is the more luxury-focused choice.
Since the 2025 redesign, Platinum Reserve builds on Platinum with electronic air suspension, massaging front seats, and an integrated trailer brake controller. Both have dual 14.3-inch displays, quilted leather, and a panoramic moonroof.
On 2025-and-newer Armadas, PRO-4X is the off-road trim, with standard 4WD, low-range gearing, a locking rear differential, a skid plate, and tow hooks. Platinum focuses instead on leather, larger displays, and cabin comfort.
NISMO is built for sharper on-road performance, while PRO-4X is built for trails. The 2026 NISMO has 460 hp, sport-tuned steering and suspension, a tuned exhaust, and aggressive styling. PRO-4X has low-range 4WD, a locking rear differential, and underbody protection.
In the newest generation, SL is the everyday sweet spot. It keeps the SV’s space, towing strength, and 425-hp engine, then adds heated front seats, richer upholstery, premium audio, better camera views, and built-in Google features.
Look for a 2025-or-newer PRO-4X. It is the Armada trim designed around trail use, with standard 4WD, low-range gearing, a locking rear differential, electronic air suspension, a metal skid plate, tow hooks, and trail-focused camera views.
The 2026 NISMO has the most horsepower at 460. Other 2025-and-newer Armada trims use a 425-hp version of the twin-turbo V6. Earlier Armadas use a V8 with output that varies by model year.
For 2021 through 2023, S sat below SV as the utility-first trim. Both used the 400-hp V8 and had a 12.3-inch touchscreen and broad safety coverage. The S name disappeared after 2023, leaving SV as the starting trim for 2024 and later lineups.
They fill a similar place in different eras. SE was the straightforward starting trim on older first-generation Armadas. Nissan renamed SE to SV for 2011, so an older SE should not be confused with a newer special edition.
Titanium was a short-lived upscale trim from the first generation. Introduced for 2010, it added leather seating, Bose audio, a power-folding third row, towing hardware, and self-leveling rear suspension. Nissan renamed it SL for 2011.
LE was the luxury-focused Armada trim before the lineup changed for 2010. By 2009 it included leather, heated front seats, keyless ignition, Bose audio, a power liftgate, parking aids, and factory towing hardware. Titanium and Platinum replaced its role in the reshaped lineup.
In the newest lineup, Platinum, NISMO, and Platinum Reserve have a 14.3-inch driver display and a 14.3-inch touchscreen. SV and SL use 12.3-inch screens, making display size one of the clearer equipment steps between trims.
