MINI Clubman
If you like the idea of a Mini but want a bit more space inside, we have good news: the Clubman was made just for you. It offers the same quirky style and sharp handling of Mini’s more familiar Hardtop hatchback but with a more usable back seat and cargo area. This is especially true after the model was redesigned and enlarged in 2016. Owners rate the Clubman highly for its quick reflexes, charming design, and premium cabin, which is highly customizable. On the downside, it tends to cost more than rival subcompacts. In addition, some find its sporty ride a bit too harsh for daily driving.

MINI Clubman Model Lineup
The Mini Clubman is a premium subcompact wagon with room for up to five passengers. In Mini’s model lineup, it slots between the smaller Hardtop hatchback and the slightly larger Countryman sport utility vehicle. Notably, when the second-generation Clubman debuted in 2016, it gained about a foot in length and also changed from a three-door to a four-door body style. The second-gen Clubman shares a platform and some components with the BMW X1, a subcompact sport-ute built by Mini’s parent company.
Mini offers the Clubman in three main trims: the entry-level Cooper, the sportier Cooper S, and the high-performance John Cooper Works (JCW). In first-generation models (2008-2014), the Clubman utilizes a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 121 horsepower in the Cooper, 181 hp in the Cooper S, and 208 hp in the JCW. With the debut of the second-gen Clubman in 2016, Mini swapped a 134-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder into the base Cooper (which was discontinued in 2020), while the higher trims were upgraded to a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, offering 189 hp in the Cooper S and 228 hp in the JCW. The JCW got a further boost to 301 hp in 2020. Most Clubman versions can be equipped with either a manual or an automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on most trims, and all-wheel drive (denoted with “ALL4” badging) first became available in 2017. No hybrid or electric variants of the Clubman have been released.
Standard equipment on the Clubman includes power windows and door locks, air conditioning, cruise control, and keyless entry. Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity first appeared in 2013, and Apple CarPlay integration followed (as an option) in 2018; however, Android Auto has not yet been offered. Adaptive cruise control first became an option in 2016, and since then forward collision mitigation (in 2019) and lane-departure warning (in 2021) have also been added. Blind-spot monitoring, though, isn’t offered on the Clubman. Heated front seats became standard in 2020, and in 2021, Mini upgraded the standard infotainment unit from a 6.5-inch display to an 8.8-inch touchscreen. Rear parking sensors also joined the list of standard features in 2021, and LED headlights followed in 2022. Most of these features were formerly optional. Other notable options include leather upholstery, premium Harman Kardon audio, a wireless smartphone charger, and automated parking.

2016 MINI Cooper S Clubman
This is the third MINI Cooper I've owned. I have never driven another car that can come close to MINI in terms of fun to drive and own. I love the fact that MINI owners feel like we belong to a special, almost cult-like, group of drivers. We always wave or blink lights when we see another MINIac on the road and we participate in owners' events such as MINI Takes the States

Be aware that the vehicle only takes premium gasoline and will run horribly if you do not use shell gasoline

2016 MINI Cooper Clubman
This is my second mini. You become a mini person. If you like driving, you'll love mini. There are a good variety of sizes to meet most if not all need classes. There's so much cockpit room in a mini, it is always surprising to the uninitiated. You've fun in either automatic or stick shift. The cabin is neat and tidy, but fun and tricky too. The materials feel good to the touch. For instance, the air vents feel good and sturdy - but also modern and sleek. That's the feeling throughout.

The 2016 Mini Clubman is a very comfortable ride, enjoyable to drive, and great interior electronics and accessories. It is perfect for driving on the N.C. curvy mountain roads. Great choice!!!

2016 MINI Cooper Clubman
The vehicle is a lot of fun to drive and offers 3 different driving modes. In the sport mode, the vehicle responds very well with strong acceleration and great handling. The mid mode is for just normal driving around town. And the green mode provides a better fuel economy mode which I find helpful when commuting in heavy traffic. The interior is roomier than I expected and as a result is very comfortable for my longer legs. I really enjoy the French doors on the Clubman that open automatically with a kick under the bumper. When I travel and come off the airport shuttle, it makes it easy to transfer my bags right to the boot of the vehicle.

People are always curious about & surprised at how much space is in my Mini. Then they ask about the power it has. We went a Best Buy & bought a 58" tv and people actually stopped & watched us load it in because they didn't think it would actually fit.
