Since its 2001 debut, the Kia Rio has established itself as a budget-friendly subcompact that doesn't skimp on quality. It's also surprisingly roomy for its size and offers the option of both sedan and hatchback body styles. Owners appreciate the Rio for its user-friendly tech and excellent fuel efficiency, both big pluses for daily commuting. Over the years, Kia has given the Rio numerous upgrades in ride comfort and interior quality, making it feel more upscale than its price suggests.
